Kathryn Newton Hints at Magic and Mystery in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

Kathryn Newton is teasing fans with hints about the supernatural twists in the upcoming sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. The film expands the lore from the first movie, showing not just the rules but how the mysterious organization at the story’s center actually operates. “I wanna know why Grace isn't dead yet. That's what I wanna know. What's the lore there?” Newton shared, pointing to one of the film’s biggest questions: how Grace survives seemingly impossible situations.

Newton playfully speculates about Grace’s powers, joking, “What superhuman power, alien, human, angel, fairy is she? She's a wizard.” She compares the film’s unexpected twists to Harry Potter, emphasizing the fantasy side of the story. “You see this movie, it goes somewhere you're not expecting. And there’s a whole new world to be discovered, and you can't help but admit there's a little bit of magic,” she said. Newton even teases the possibility, though highly unlikely (but who knows), of dragons and other fantastical surprises, suggesting the series now has limitless creative potential.

The actress also pokes fun at Grace’s survival skills. “It’s not possible. You just got stabbed by Buffy. You should be dead,” Newton laughed, highlighting the film’s mix of dark humor, horror, and fantasy. With Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, fans can expect a story that pushes the boundaries of the original movie while keeping the fun, wit, and gore that made the first film so memorable.
